Founded in 1946, based in northern Italy, near Turin. Specialising in design and decorative laminate, using tannins extracted from chestnut tree wood. Laminate ranges from 0.4 – 2mm thickness and consists of layers of kraft paper, bonded to substrate and coated in melamine resins, with a final decorative layer on top.
It is extremely sturdy, with excellent fire resistance and a high resistance to water and steam. Other qualities include, anti static, easy to clean, excellent hygienic properties – suitable for contact with food stuff, as well as being easy to work with.
Regularly used for cubicles at swimming pools, doors, lockers, facades, bus stop shelters, signage as well as furniture.
The company’s large tech lab continually tests the laminates reaction to new substances and chemicals.
There are 600+ decors currently available in their catalogue. Full colour = the same colour all the way through. An image or own design can be added to the surface of the laminate. It can also be laser cut and imbedded with a different colour. Standard finishes include gloss, matt and eggshell.
